Cancellation / Refund Policy
The Montreal Academy of Metal Arts Cancellation and Refund Policy, please read carefully:
Please note: Non-attendance of a workshop or a class does not constitute a notification of cancellation.
For student withdrawals or refund requests please advise us by email at: info@montrealmetalart.com
Participants who wish to cancel their course registration ( 4 - 8 classes in length ) must notify the M.A.M.A. by email 48 hours prior to the starting date of the session.
They will receive a full refund or credit, less a $30 administration fee.
Participants who wish to cancel their workshop registration must notify the M.A.M.A. by email 24 hours prior to the starting date of the workshop.
They will receive a full refund or credit, less a $10 administration fee.
If the Montreal Academy of Metal Arts cancels your course or workshop, you will receive a full refund.
If a student withdraws from a course - after the first class, the student will receive a refund, or credit, of the course fees, less a $30 administration charge and the cost of one class. No refund will be made after the second class.The credit may be applied to one change per session only.
If a student cancels attendance in a workshop (1 - 2 classes in length) - 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop, they will receive a refund or credit of the workshop fees, less a $10 administrative charge. The credit may be applied to one change per workshop only.
If a student cancels the day of the workshop, after the 24 hours, we will be happy to apply a credit to another workshop of the same kind. There will be no refund. One change only will apply.
We are a non profit organization and as such we cannot afford to provide credits or give refunds to our students for missed classes and workshops due to illness. Please see our Courtesy Class Policy below for more information.
Courtesy Classes – Our Missed Class Policy
The Montreal Academy of Metal Arts missed class policy, please read carefully:
Our goal is to have a policy that encourages students to attend the classes in which they are enrolled, but which also provides an element of flexibility and fairness in responding to unexpected circumstances, for example a family emergency or if they are suffering from a contagious illness.
Should the student wish to “make up” a missed class, the following procedure should be followed:
One (1) courtesy class will be offered per session at the same level or a level lower than the class which was missed.
A courtesy class must be taken within a month of the last class of the session that a student was attending.
Although students are welcome to discuss the need for a courtesy class with their current teacher, they must register and confirm their presence in the courtesy class with info@montrealmetalart.com
Once registered you will be assigned a courtesy class based on availability and it is probable that the make up class that you will be assigned will not be in the class which you are currently attending.
If it is a workshop that you have registered for, cancelling 24 hours in advance means we will provide a refund or credit less the 10$ administrative cost. The credit may be applied to one change of workshop only.
If you cancel the day of the workshop, after the 24 hours, we will be happy to apply your credit to another workshop of the same kind. In this case there will be no refund. One change of workshop only.
Please note: Courtesy classes may not be taken prior to an absence.
