Discover the creative possibilities of working in wax to make 3 dimensional jewellery. Unlike traditional metalwork It can be done simply at home with minimal tools, making it ideal for both beginners and those looking to expand their practice.

Cleaning your cast metal piece
Filing and refining the form

Introduction to Bead Knotting Workshop
Learn the art of traditional bead and pearl knotting in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Over two classes, participants will develop essential skills and create a finished piece of jewelry using pearls or semi-precious beads.

About the Instructor - Lucia Guerra
Trained at the Montréal Metal Arts Academy, Lucia combines traditional beading techniques with fine jewelry practices. Her work integrates bead work such as pearl knotting and bead weaving, into contemporary jewelry design
With a focus on both technique and design, this course provides a strong foundation that can be expanded into further fine jewelry studies.

Starting a strand and making knots
Developing knotting technique
Beginning and finishing a strand properly
Session 2: Design & Completion
Selecting and arranging beads
Continuing and refining the piece
Creating decorative elements (large beads, tassels)
